The Catholic community has a tradition to stop and pray on the First Friday of the month.

Thank you to all of you who have joined in the Prayer Chain for our Trust, your prayers are still needed!

This month we would like to start an OLICAT CANA Group. The group will pray each First Friday and indeed between the Fridays to form a “Surround Prayer” experience for the Trust. We rely on this prayer.

We have taken the story of the Wedding Feast at Cana from St John’s Gospel as our inspiration. In the story Mary says “ They have no wine….” She simply states the need to Jesus and Jesus responds.

We would like to set up a group across the Trust who will pray for the needs of the Trust. So, on the First Friday of each month the CANA Group will be asked to pray for a special intention in our family of schools and wider community. It might be a particular school or a Year Group or an issue which is common across the Trust. Like Mary, I am asking this group to present the need before Our Lord and to pray for the need.

Who are the CANA Group? All are welcome. We will pray for and with our Trust schools and to be an intercession Group.
