What does the course consist of?

Students will study a variety of subjects such as mechanics, circuits, waves and materials. There is also a strong practical element to the subject. Studying physics will not only allow you to discover many new concepts, but also greatly increase your ability to problem-solve and view a situation from a number of angles.

Whom does the subject suit?

Anyone interested finding out the answers to questions such as ‘How are black holes formed?’ and ‘What is quantum physics?’. If you are a confident mathematician, enjoy practical work, have an enquiring mind and want to know more about how the world works, then A-Level Physics is for you.

What might the subject lead on to?
