- To give a variety in the KS3 curriculum
- Give opportunity for students to be creative and use technology to express themselves
- To provide different foci to allow students to maintain their interest, engagement and enjoyment of the subject

Curriculum Intention:
- To ensure variety in coverage of all main set texts
- To allow students sufficient time to complete component 3 coursework before mock exams
- To provide different foci to allow students to maintain their interest, engagement and enjoyment of the subject
- Students will have more time to revise, consolidate the main set texts
- Students will be given more opportunity in Y11 to improve memory before final exam using the Learning Scientists skills and methods
