Sport plays an important role in the life of St Thomas More. With a huge variety of sporting activities to be involved in from cheerleading to rugby, athletics to basketball there is certainly something for everyone.

Sports Centre and Onsite Gym

We have a newly refurbished onsite sports centre with a well equipped and modern facilities. We encourage the students to make use of the gym before school or during lunch hours. 

Sports Teams

We pride ourselves on great sporting succeses at St Thomas More. We regularly appear in our town and district finals and celebrate the ongoing achievements of individuals and teams across all age groups.

Sports Colours

The students below have been awarded sports colours at St Thomas More. To have been awarded sports colours the student must have shown:

  • A consistently high level of ability in the sport

As well as a minimum of 3 of the following criteria:

  • Shown commitment in the sport throughout their school life
  • Shown good leadership skills
  • Shown high levels of dedication and determination to succeed in an individual or team sport
  • Attended at least 95% of training and matches/competitions
  • Been a good role model for the rest of the school
  • Shown exceptional sportsmanship and have represented the school with dignity and maturity
  • Represented the district, county or higher

  • Then, Lovett made up for a disappointing finish on Friday by winning his 300m race yesterday. That meant he got included in the Junior team for today's championship. Serena also won her 800m race again
