St Thomas More Catholic Secondary School

We understand that Level 3 courses are incredibly demanding, so we regularly put on events to ensure a great sense of community, develop leadership roles, have some fun and contribute to Sixth Form Charitable fundraising. Not only do we value the academic progress of students, the school endeavours to make Post 16 an enriching experience.

Throughout the year we give every student the opportunity to ensure they are encouraged to become more independent in readiness for their future avenues. For example all students take part in volunteering in the community and in school, have the opportunity to be a student duty leader, gain work experience where possible and ensure that they contribute to the life of the school. Tutor time is compulsory, a vital time to ensure preparation for progression is clear and that tutors have the best relationships to support and get to know you.

Enrichment Options Available (but not limited to)

  • Charitable Giving and Community Involvement- Fun Run, outreach to care homes, Coffee Mornings, primary school helpers, external work experience

  • Young Enterprise – developing business and enterprise acumen for the future
